Greetings from the newest organization supporting the CSU, Bakersfield School of Arts & Humanities!
The Friends of Arts & Humanities — AH Friends — is an extension of the Executive Advisory Council for the School of A&H. We are delighted to introduce you to the premier method to stay connected with the outstanding programs and student work making a positive impact on campus and in our community.
AH Friends is a brand-new, membership-based organization with a host of member benefits. In addition to gaining early information about upcoming programs and events, members receive special invitations to annual functions like Taste of the Arts. Some membership levels even deliver exclusive access to unique experiences with faculty and students of the CSUB A&H programs. And every membership delivers valuable impact to the students of our university.
The School of A&H is comprised of 9 departments and programs: Art & Art History, Communications, English, History, Interdisciplinary Studies, Modern Languages & Literature, Music, Philosophy & Religious Studies and Theatre Arts. And with over 150 faculty and 1000 students working in these degree programs, A&H has never been a more dynamic hub of creative thought.
As students succeed in the university setting and their work enters the community, the lines begin to blur between what might be considered "school" versus "the real world". Because of this natural progression, our community as a whole becomes the ultimate benefactor of a thriving and innovative university.
